This is part of the EdTech Female Founder (#EFF) interview series brought to you by SuperCharger Ventures.

What inspired you to start your EdTech Founder journey?

I was born and raised in a family that instilled in me the importance of studying, being a professional, and achieving financial independence. During my working days, I saw many young people working for a minimum salary because they did not have a higher education diploma.

I never thought of forming a start-up until I got together with my boyfriend in 2020, that same year I stopped working as a result of the pandemic and together we began to create what is now Videame!

Describe your company in one sentence.

At Videame, we optimize teaching with learning analytics and artificial intelligence.

What should an aspiring EdTech founder know before initiating their startup journey?

Have a noble and altruistic goal and be convinced of it, without a doubt.

What has been the most difficult moment as a founder and how did you overcome it?

There have been several difficult moments, one of them was when we started to apply for capital injection and failed. We felt that we were wasting time and made a 180 turn and fully focused on strengthening our solution.

What can the EdTech industry do to improve the gender gap?

Treat everyone the same regardless of gender by providing the same opportunities for everyone.

What traits have helped you in this founding journey?

Certainty makes me defend my position and strengthen it. Doubt makes me listen to others and helps strengthen the idea together, and finally I pay attention to my intuition. This has worked for me.

What will you consider as success in 5 years from now?

Having more than 500,000 subscribers!

Looking back, what advice would you have liked to have received before starting your company?

None! The path is made by walking, the stumbling blocks are just and necessary.
